so according to the article the plans are to do this with Mexico’s permission but unilateral strikes ‘are not ruled out’
With the Trump policy on avoiding civilian casualties this can only go right. Plus, I’m sure the cartels won’t do some fucked up shit like kidnap and torture a bunch of American tourists on vacation

So, assuming that it happens…what’s the strategy here? I imagine a lot of this stuff may be mixed with civilian areas and you can’t just bomb them and celebrate victory. The profit incentive would still be there (because United States is just not that good with rehab as it could) when they stop and the Mexican government is not good enough to keep them in check.
