I think one of the issues with articles like this, especially coming from the FT, is that they ignore that bond yields have risen in most places around the world and that’s due to inflation. Just today, GILTS are up as much as US Bonds and the only reason they haven’t gone up higher is because the market closed before the emergency vote on British Steel. US Bonds are just back to where they were in February.

I’m skeptical that this premium, if it should exist, is fully priced in. It may take time for the prices to shift downward as more investors realize what’s going on.
