U.S. community groups want more rigorous environmental reviews of proposed semiconductor facilities

  1. Considering that these facilities are being made due to national security concerns, they are getting built, no matter how horrible their environmental effects

    How does an environmental group not know that “best practices” is intentionally vague, because institutions like the EPA and OSHA know that if they spell out requirements to the letter that’s all that will ever be done even when circumstances demand more to make something safe? It’s basically if you fuck up a river or someone dies on your jobsite you weren’t following “best practices” no matter what you were doing because it was inadequate to prevent the bad outcome.
