Nvidia chief Jensen Huang condemns US chip curbs on China as ‘a failure’

  1. Nvidia has truly zero interest in vertical integration, which is sorta wild for it’s scale. It doesn’t care about where the chips are manufactured, where the raw materials are sourced from, and and where they end up going. Mercantilist China, doesn’t bother them because all they want to do is hand off a drawing and then start collecting checks

    I mean it’s kind of his job to disapprove of a policy that’s depriving his company billions in revenue. 

    But that’s just it, he’s admitting the strategy is working as intended. China has poor access to current semiconductor products and is forced to rely on its inferior domestic industry. Jensen is openly just sulking about Nvidia’s Chinese market share shrinking. 

    Nobody knows how much this actually going to affect the trajectory of the AI race but you can say for sure it certainly doesn’t help China.
