Nobody even remotely informed on the subject thinks blockading China at the Malacca strait is the call. The “Malacca dilemma” is not even real 20 years ago. Former Chinese chairman Hu Jintao came up with the idea and the last time I checked, he isn’t exactly the pinnacle of military genius. I don’t think any American admirals ever talked about that idea seriously. It is the r/worldnews Reddit general strategy if there ever was one. Blockading China at the Malacca strait is equivalent to blockading the entire East Asia, including, TAIWAN ITSELF.
It’s the great tragedy of the 21st century that China became an evil regime under the CCP, especially after rising to power off the backs of Middle Class America. Breakthroughs in super intelligence and longevity will be delayed because the CCP wants to waste their time silencing entrepreneurs, financing Russia’s war in Europe, and plotting to invade Taiwan. Look what they did to Hong Kong! Nothing good came out of that. Of course an arms race with China won’t be easy and will hurt everyone, but we’ve learned that we have to fight to show these dictators that their time and money is best spent elsewhere. The CCP appears weaker than ever and we must use this time to increase our advantage against them — they still have the capacity to transform and re-emerge in a more evil form. Through diplomacy, we might still have the chance to help them to give up their hostile ambitions.
