How did I know this garbage came from The Economist before I even pulled up the thread?
As a non-American watching this dumpster fire from outside, I am still amazed at how much fucking power the president is allowed to have, and how little anyone can do to stop any of this. It feels like literally every so-called check-and-balance in your system was just duct tape and strings all along and the only thing keeping it flying was having good faith adults in the cockpit who restrained themselves from ripping it all off.
