Libertarians want a "smaller" government, aka less bureaucracy and opressive rules.
But authoritarians often ALSO want a """smaller""" government, just they mean more centralized control, and consolidation of power.
They want the government """smaller""" to have less opposing factions, less disagreement, checks and balances on THEIR small, central authority.
De-claw government agencies and rules that sit in their way, GROW and SHARPEN government power under THEIR command.
When people preach "small government", beware what they actually mean. It can mean veeery diffrent things.

In the production of evil, less is better. History shows that monarchies were less totalitarian compared to democracies today.
As I travel around the world, i look at places like Singapore and Japan, which seem to have more freedom than most, even if the monarchy is just ceremonial.
