As a libertarian, I don’t want a king or dictator/emperor/tyrant of any kind, either. However I abhor the tyranny of democracy just as much if not more so.
No one should be able to vote away my right to my property, to defend myself and my loved ones, or to vote themselves into my pocketbook, either directly (via referendum) or indirectly (through elected representatives). This is what I believe most of the Dems and so-called progressives call ‘democracy’ and somehow think it’s fair to be able to do so. That’s just as immoral as the edicts of a king.
