    >The timing of these strikes is reportedly a concession to President Trump, who insisted on the delay to “diminish” the “shock of the bombing” before Wall Street trading commences on Monday.

God we’re a meme country of this is true

  2. I’m against these strikes/campaign by Bibi but we shouldn’t lend any credence to Hersh? He’s a crank these days who believes Assad didn’t use chemical weapons against his own people, slightly promoted Seth Rich conspiracy theory, and ascribes Nordstream to the US.

  3. I hate trump but the fact that this is leaking is a major problem. If Iran had a competent air defense system this leak could be a significant threat to the US military

  4. Hersh is very hit or miss (to put it lightly) so we’ll see. i don’t put much stock in his reporting alone.

but i am disturbed by how many times i see “regime change by democratic uprising” thrown around

it’s one thing to advocate for bombing iranian nuclear sites in order to force them to give up on enrichment. dunno if i like that but at least it’s an actionable strategy with concrete goals

it’s another to be so utterly delusional that you think bombing iranian civilian sites will get iranian civilians on your side

  5. After the “poor waif in his underwear” moment, I’m surprised anyone takes Seymour Hersh seriously.  Why not link his original article instead of the Arabic news site that simply summarized it?

Certified “are we the baddies” moment.

I mean this is the sort of shit the villain would say in a TV show that stars a dog.
