If an actor has an identical twin, does the twin have to give legal permission before the film is allowed to be released?
It is trivial to find photos of two people who are essentially identical besides having no familial connection. If there was a porn star on the other side of the country which had no relations to me yet was a dead ringer for my face, is it illegal for him to act in porn films without my permission?
Does this extend to artwork? Could an animator or cartoonist be held accountable if they designed a character which looks too close to any one of the several million people that probably live in any given country?
The rush to sacrifice privacy and personal freedoms to combat an imagined AI threat is sad.
