Fox News and CNN are both reporting that Israel has agreed to the terms of a 60 Day ceasefire in Gaza, while making sure to highlight that Hamas has yet to agree to the ceasefire as Qatar and Egypt will be delivering the terms to them.

Immediately two things popped into my mind when reading this: the first is that this is extremely convenient timing for Israel, who is dangerously low on supplies; the second is that this is classical framing to make Israel and the United States look good while making Hamas, Egypt, and Qatar look bad.

Whether this is finalized or not, more US aid to Israel will absolutely be approved and we will begin restocking their munitions; because this 60 Day ceasefire does not change the fact that the war doesn’t end here. Israel is biding their time and preparing for the next go around – the exact same thing is happening with the Israel/Iran ceasefire.

Secondly, as far as optics go, this is a good example of the mainstream media framing the narrative to clearly make one side out to be perceived more favorably – “Israel has already accepted the terms, but Hamas has not” paints a favorable picture for Israel as they are seeking peace but Hamas won’t get with the program.

Whether or not Israel was given advanced notice and got an earlier chance to review the terms before Hamas did won’t matter, because they were the first of the two to publicly agree to ceasefire terms, Israel is going to be painted in a better light.

This will be helpful for them when hostilities inevitably resume as they will be portrayed as the ones who were forced to continue fighting despite their desire for peace; while Hamas (and eventually Iran) will be portrayed as the belligerents.

Lastly, why is Qatar and Egypt presenting the terms proposal to Hamas? Why aren’t we, with our “deal maker” leader, presenting the terms? Because it’s not meant to last. It’s theater to buy time while Israel reloads and Trump is happy to play along because he is itching for a Nobel Peace Prize. It’s July now and another sixty days brings us just that much closer to the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s final meeting in Early October.

All the world is a stage.

      Thissss 💯
And remember israel rejected sooo many ceasefire proposals that were unbelievably favorable to it meanwhile like u said if the gazans don’t agree for a 60 day slaughter pause until Israel’s refurbished in the big beautiful bill its their fault and they’re the bad guys and they deserve whatever madness insanity that’ll come next (most likely ethnic cleansing). Heartless people.

Israel does not need to restock. They are loaded to the gills and we did that. I don’t feel great about it.. but you’re not doing a conspiracy theory on this

If they don’t agree they’re going to get hit with about six waves and then they’ll come to the table.

Except for Saudi Arabia there’s nothing close and they’re not a supporter of either side

Prove me wrong in 2 months.
