      Last night I watched the Caligula restoration from a few years back, and it struck me how relevant it is. The funny thing is that the real Caligula probably wasn’t a power-hungry, sexually depraved rapist; a delusional, narcissistic, populist egomaniac with an incestic obsession with his ~~daughter~~ sister and with a destructive, vile hatred for the institutions of his society, but man, I know at least one person who’s like that.

      I’m still celebrating YIMBY wins in CA. CEQA Abuse should have been curbed decades ago. So glad Newsom exempted infill development. I hate suburbs.

      It’s about the degradation of Western civilization from an honor based system and the American dream. Vito at Ellis island as a kid after having a death mark put on him by a crazed Sicilian warlord

      When this place was… a place where migrants felt they could build a future even if you had to do some… unsavory things on the way

      But it gets worse. Drug dealing, backstabbing, honor code. All out the window for greed. More nihilistic generations take over

      They may be films about mobsters but since our government is currently run by a few more ruthless and evil bunch… it’s a more relevant trilogy than ever

      Deadass if I was out in the middle of nowhere and a horse randomly spoke to me, that would be among the scariest things I could ever possibly experience and I seriously would not know how to properly continue with my life afterward
