They have 7 seats when exactly a decade ago they had 95 — double that of the Liberals.
That is a party in a death spiral if I’ve ever seen one.
The last time they had this few seats:
1. Canada was a part of the UK still
2. The party wasn’t even the NDP yet (they were the Co-operative Commonwealth) and
3. The year was 1940
By the way they won those 7 seats in their first election in 1935.

Canada’s liberals are perhaps the most popular Liberal Party in the world right now. A party trying to “Police the left from the left” isn’t going to be popular in that circumstance.
