VIA Rail’s [quarterly report](https://media.viarail.ca/sites/default/files/publications/2025_VIA-Rail_First-Quarter-Report.pdf) for the first three months of 2025 shows that on time performance plummeted from 72% the year before to just **30%**, largely due to [speed restrictions](https://www.transportaction.ca/regions/ontario/via-takes-cn-to-court-over-grade-crossing-issue/) imposed by CN on the new Venture trains in the corridor.
