I got an email from the NHS recently suggesting I get an MMR shot. I think I had it as a kid but I can’t be 100% sure, what does arrNL think?

Is Europe also facing anti-vaxers as the primary cause of this? I feel like I haven’t heard about them that much, unlike the US where they are very public about their desire to not be vaccinated (and in charge of the federal government). Or is it some other reason like lack of access?
> Measles cases surged from 60,756 in 2023 to 148,974 last year in the WHO’s 53 country European region… cases are now at their highest since 1997
…
> The proportion of children fully vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) and hepatitis B was at 91% last year, down from 92% in 2019 , the WHO said. The courage level generally considered to create so-called herd immunity for measles is 95 per cent.
Whooping cough were also 300K from 87K in 2023

It’s a whole international political movement designed to be on the worst side of every issue. It seems the pattern is:
– Take stance on an issue to piss off smug liberal, no matter who terrible it is
– It blows up in your face and you’re forced to turn back
– Smug liberal becomes even more smug in response
– You then reverse course again and double down on your fuck up, forever owning the liberals
