I’m just secretly thanking my lucky stars every day that my daughter and I came off well in the end even though they let me labour for hours and hours with back labour and no pain relief, she was stuck. My husband was keen on a 2nd before but I’m pretty sure he was sufficiently traumatised by the experience himself that he doesn’t want to risk it. As for myself, I consider myself lucky that we ended up both healthy and intact, I don’t want to roll the die again with NHS Maternity in the state that it is in.
