The moon landing has been one of the greatest acts of public deception ever done by a Human government. We have over 190 nations, and no one else put a Human on another Planetary Body. Because we can’t get past the firmament.

If true……… what now?
Something I’ve never understood is couldn’t other world powers simply point a telescope at the moon and take pictures that clearly indicate the absence of the lunar rover landing where the U.S. and Nasa said it did? Technology has improved a lot over these last 56 years and it seems like you could find the wreckage (or lack thereof) pretty easily.
Curious as to the OP or anyone else thoughts.
Other countries have been to the Moon, but with robotic spacecraft.
Here’s the dilemma:
**Send people to the Moon:**
– Very expensive (more difficult to get public support)
– Very risky, human lives at stake
– Requires consumable provisions, significant limitation to mission duration
– Large payloads required for the supplies and space, significant increase to craft’s mass, resulting in very large and expensive launch vehicle

**Unmanned probes (robots):**
– Exponentially cheaper
– Not risking human lives
– Much smaller payload, significantly smaller launch vehicles (rockets)
– Probes can operate for years, rather than the three days on the lunar surface of Apollo astronauts

The only reason why astronauts walked on the lunar surface is because the US and USSR were embroiled in an arms race, in which space was a new domain of warfare at the time, and became yet another means to project power. Since this geopolitical conflict does not exist these days, securing the exorbitant funding required for crewed landings has been very difficult in place of robotic operations.
Hundreds of billions of dollars to aura farm on the surface of the moon. There’s nothing else there worth doing.

China has probably done it dozens of times already but they know better than to just setup a photo shoot. They have better things to do in space than create the most expensive tiktok video in history like the American did in the 60s and 70s.

They’ll tell you that all other countries in the space race just gave up and let the U.S. be the only one to accomplish the feat. Yet, we’re supposedly still years away from a manned lunar landing today in spite of all our technological advances since the 1960s. Guess it’s harder to pull off a hoax these days.
