The headline talks about grocery prices being too high, but then when you get two paragraphs in they are complaining that prices at the corporate chain store are too low. Is the goal here to make the prices lower or higher?

That’s all you need to know to ignore it. (And yes I read it. Her arguments are completely jumbled and contradict each other as all the other comments will tell you)
>In a January 2020 opinion column in The Guardian, Teachout wrote that Sanders’s Democratic presidential rival Joe Biden had “a big corruption problem” arising from his relationships with donors over the course of his Senate career. Sanders apologized to Biden for the article, saying: “It is absolutely not my view that Joe is corrupt in any way
I thought [this Planet Money episode](https://www.npr.org/transcripts/1197963467) from last year provided a much more reasonable take on Robinson-Patman. tldl is the main advantage the big chains have is from being able to bypass wholesalers altogether rather than being able to negotiate better deals from wholesalers, and using Robinson-Patman to combat this is more about protecting independent grocers than consumers.

I knew I recognised her name!!
The whole thing just seems incoherent and economically illiterate, [this is a good critique](https://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2025/07/gossery-confusion.html)
