Only problem is Spain’s housing production is lagging so the housing crisis has gotten worse, but it’s slowly starting to recover
And given Spain’s giant size, cheap land, cheap and abundant solar energy, it should have no problem accommodating even double the population if it wanted to.
Another advantage is that Spanish cities are already very dense, apartments are widespread and easy to get approval to build from what I read

Unfortunately you also see polls claiming that 70%+ of Spaniards believe they have too many immigrants. When really, what Spain has is way too many pensioners. My home region has more people getting government pensions than workers!
Once reality forces the very corrupt government to resign (which will take some time, as Pedro Sanchez learned from Trump that shame is for losers), We are very likely to see a right wing government with an old, corrupt party, needing help from trumpesque, anti-immigrant associates. The natural result of having just parties full of corruption scandals or extremists of one color or another.
