The first mention of Satan in the Bible was in Genesis when Eve encountered Satan in the form of a snake. The Mayans sacrificed tens of thousands to Kukulkan, described as a feathered serpent. Also why all ancient megalithic sites align to Orion, the origin of the Dracos/reptiles. These sites had massive human sacrifices & necropolises.

If you are merely referring to the Christian Bible one entity meant to enslave humanity and one entity sought to enlighten them. It is up to the reader to decide which. When reading mythology it is important to read multiple texts to find the full picture. The god of the book of Genesis is no creator.
