As a Millenial in the UK, probably because conservatives have been in power basically my entire adult life and have completely failed to appeal to working age people that entire time, both in terms of intentions and outcomes.

Several reasons. But, the chief ones are:
* Boomers spending nearly a decade writing think pieces stating that our lack of financial success was due to our love of avocado toast, or otherwise treating us like aliens. Boomers are overwhelmingly Republican.
* The fact that our actual lack of financial success is because of the policies that Republicans championed. Republican decisions were responsible for the 2008 housing crisis, as well as for COVID being as bad as it ended up being.
