      Bibi really fucked up by aligning himself with the far right so openly. Now support for Israel itself has become right-coded.

      Lots of libs who would have supported Israel have now become anti-Israel. Whoever the next dem candidate is will probably have to heavily distance themselves from Israel since not doing so would be political suicide.
      It’s bad political maneuvering to not be anti-Israel at this point.

      And I say that as someone who would call themselves a Zionist and who does generally support Israel.

      Even I would recommend a candidate be as anti-Israel as possible for electoral reasons.

      Israel is electoral poison now.

      It’s so bad that AOC and Mamdani are somehow winning the JEWISH vote by double digit margins over more pro-Israel candidates.

      I could totally be wrong on this but didn’t the US and Israel hardcore fumble. I really doubt Canada moved on this alone without consulting other allies.

      Israel achieved a lot but the last few months have been unhinged. My best guess is Biden was balancing a complex situation decently.

      Also Trump went and pissed everyone off. I wonder if allies are more likely to move away from other US foreign policy as well. Canada/EU had differences with the US before but not like this. What they gonna do tariff us again LMAOOO

      This didn’t get a *ton* of upvotes by any means, but I was gobsmacked that this was sitting in the positives. The second half of that comment could have come from Matt Walsh or some shit.

      This is mainly a Twitter thing, but seeing minorities explicitly side with neonazis and groypers when it comes to Jews has soured me so much. Why in the world should I fight to stop nazis from gaining power when the future victims are more than happy to be useful idiots for them?

      Orbán is literally war profiteering while claiming to be on the side of “peace”. MOL, the Hungarian oil company is buying oil at sanctioned low prices from Rosneft, and sells the refined products at a high price.

      MOL is partly state-owned, and Orbán-aligned business owners are also heavily invested in MOL. Both the Hungarian budget ?which is mostly about campaigning, flinging free shit at people) and and the well-being of the “feudal lords” sworn to Orbán depends on this trade.
