According to Wikipedia, Epstein bought the ranch in 1993 from the then-governor of New Mexico Bruce King for $12 million. That's the same year that Towers Financial (which Epstein left in 1989) imploded after being revealed as a Ponzi scheme. The company's founder claimed Epstein was intimately involved.
When I pulled the property up on Google Earth, I thought it was interesting that the concentric circle landscaping had been removed (2023 image, bottom right). It made me wonder what it looked like in the past, hence the collage of these various satellite images. The oldest image (from 1985) is embedded in the 1997 image, since it's just a blur (typical for that year in my experience) and I wanted to use a 3×3 grid.

Supposedly there’s a vast network of tunnels underneath the property. Somebody interviewed a caterer or something one time.
