      Electing Zohran Mamdani as a Democrat Mayor of NYC is gonna have wide-reaching consequences. The best case scenario is him moderating and governing as a centre-left liberal.

      The worst case scenario is him implementing all the financially irresponsible policies such as rent freeze and government-owned supermarkets.

      All of those policies will crash and burn, and republicans will just point to those experiments and create talking points and campaign ads about “failed Democrat socialist experiments” in red states. It’ll also increase racist abuse towards Indian Americans, when it’s mostly the young white people who enthusiastically voted for and supported him.

      The two biggest political streamers who have a direct information pipeline to young men through YouTube and Twitch, are determinedly illiberal, authoritarian and do not support the Democratic Party. Asmongold is fully on the Trump train, and Hasan is a radical socialist.

      This is one of the main reasons why lots of young men will continue to not vote for Democrats. As usual, some liberals will continue to be smug and massively downplay their influence.

      city i live in (milwaukee) is currently having the worst storms ive ever seen in my time living here (10 years). streets are completely underwater and being flooded. this storm came kinda out of nowhere, we knew there was a storm tonight but it was supposed to be like 3 hours and now iys been going on for almost 12 hours.

      im no meteorologist but usually we don’t get storms like at all (something to do w the lake effect idk) but this is next level bad. never seen anything like this before
