What is a Manchurian Candidate?

A “Manchurian Candidate” is someone who has been covertly conditioned through hypnosis, drugs, trauma, or psychological programming to carry out an act, often violent, without conscious awareness or memory of doing it. Intelligence programs like the CIA’s MKULTRA, ARTICHOKE, and BLUEBIRD explored this concept in real life, with documented tests proving that hypnotized individuals could be made to perform acts, including mock assassinations, under post-hypnotic command and then forget entirely.

    Sirhan Sirhan

Sirhan, convicted of assassinating Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, displayed multiple hallmarks of a programmed operative:

    • Complete amnesia for the shooting, consistently maintained for decades.
    • Hypnotic susceptibility so high that even years later, he could be easily placed into deep trance and follow instructions without awareness.
    • Automatic writing in notebooks filled with phrases like “RFK must die” written over and over in looping script, similar to dissociative or trance-induced writing. These were allegedly produced in a “writing trance” state.
    • Incongruent ballistics: Witnesses and forensic evidence indicate the fatal shots were fired from behind Kennedy at point-blank range, while Sirhan was positioned several feet in front.

Taken together, these suggest he may have been placed on-site as a distraction… programmed to act in a way that ensured his arrest while someone else fired the real killing shots.

    Lee Harvey Oswald

Oswald’s profile (former Marine, defector to the USSR, pro-Castro sympathies) makes him like a textbook “pre-built patsy.” Whether or not hypnosis was used, his positioning, media portrayal, and rapid framing by authorities served the same purpose: instant blame that fit Cold War fears. Like Sirhan, Oswald’s presence created a politically useful narrative, and his swift silencing by Jack Ruby (Rubenstein) ensured no trial, no testimony, and no deeper investigation.

Here's an LA Times article from 2005 that explores this possibility: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2005-jan-31-oe-hiscock31-story.html

    1. Eh, something tells me that Sirhan is just pretending to have no memory of killing RFK.
