Hi guys I’ve fallen down another rabbit hole tonight. I have been seeing reports about how 50+ children have gone missing in Virginia since August 1st. However, I haven’t seen much media coverage about this harrowing time for these families.
The deeper I got into being a detective from thousands of miles away, I came across multiple videos of ice cream trucks driving around neighborhoods in Virginia late at night. The videos show the truck’s windows being tinted, no sign of a menu, and the music blaring from the speakers. It’s very suspicious considering that no ice cream truck business in VA is open at 11pm or so. All of the videos I’ve seen have been posted within the last day or two.

I can’t find any reports about this online. I’m asking Reddit if y’all have heard or seen anything about this? Is it a prank or something more sinister? It’s definitely giving me the heebie jeebies.

EDIT: I posted this late last night and I did not expect this post to get near the exposure that it has. For reference, I am from Arkansas and had stumbled across videos of the trucks on twitter and tiktok. Because I am so far away, I don't get news local to this area so I was just wondering if anyone else had seen these reports. In no way am I saying that every sighting is factual because I don't know. I saw a few comments asking for names and references. So, here you go. Keep the families of these children in your thoughts. Even though this may be a hoax or whatnot, it is real people with real lives.

I have also seen people saying that there haven't been Amber Alerts put out. Can someone from Virginia confirm this?

    1. I’ve read hundreds of thousands go missing with no media coverage. This is every state.

I live in Virginia and have been asking myself the same thing. It’s not 50 missing kids on the news every night, in fact I didn’t hear a single report of any child tonight

I’ve seen something about this too. Specifically in Virginia and I’m in the PNW. The story is getting around because of people like us unintentionally stumbling upon the curiosity of others. It’s just not being covered by media like you said, which is so strange. I’m keeping tabs on this now too

    4. There’s a guy on insta claiming he’s found a D.U.M.B. being used to traffic children in his hometown. ryanmurphy2022 is his handle, he seems a little schizo but the video seems real

Yes children are highly sought after by secret societies members and use the kids as a human sacrific when doing their satanic rituals masons/eastern stars KKK rosicrucians illuminati lucifarians they been doing this since Jesus time the fallen angels doing what they possibly can to kill steal n destroy anything n anybody connected to the most high GOD. We’re in revaluation now and just be aware of the events that take place.

50 reported missing kids is tough to keep a lid on if they’re connected and happening in the same area.

      Sounds like “weapons” promo 🙂

But seriously wouldn’t think too much of it if there’s not parents coming forward, names, or absolutely any coverage of any of it. Everything I’ve seen is just saying it’s been debunked already and is just a viral rumor

    7. Adrenochrome. Thats everything you need to know about this and the darkest conspiracy that exist. You have been warned.

    8. My son has mentioned this a couple times and the number keeps growing… he said he say it was over 100 earlier tonight! Idk what his source of info is from… prob YouTube or tik tok … but it’s def not being talked about enough if it’s true!

You’re asking whether Virginia (VA) has recently seen an influx of missing children. Here’s what trustworthy, up-to-date information shows:

      ⸻

What’s Actually Going On in Virginia?

Virginia State Police Respond to Social Media Claims

Virginia State Police (VSP) have denied any evidence of mass abductions or a sudden spike in missing children. They emphasize that:
      • The number of missing-child reports from August 3–9, 2025 was 88 cases, which is slightly below Virginia’s 2025 weekly average of 98.
      • Virginia’s high presentation of cases on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) website is because they report every single case—unlike many other states that curate their postings.
      • Most of these cases are runaways, and the vast majority are resolved quickly. VSP notes that few escalate to the level of CODI or AMBER alerts.

This suggests the apparent “spike” may be rooted in Virginia’s reporting procedures, not in an actual increase in risk.

      ⸻

      What About Migrant Children?

There’s a separate concern involving unaccompanied migrant children, particularly in Culpeper, Virginia:
      • Since 2017, at least 35 unaccompanied migrant children have gone missing in Culpeper, with many still unlocated.
      • Investigative reporting shows these cases often involve children placed with unfamiliar sponsors who then go missing—sometimes due to running away or lack of communication from the sponsor.

These are serious and unfortunate cases, but they reflect situations distinct from what Virginia State Police are addressing—and are not indicative of a new statewide surge.

      ⸻

      Summary

      Claim What’s Actually Happening
“Recent influx of missing children in VA?” No. 88 reports (Aug 3–9) vs expected average of 98. VSP reports cases more comprehensively than other states.
Mass abductions or spike? No evidence. VSP states these are social media misinterpretations of routine data.
Unaccompanied migrant children missing? Yes—these have been ongoing since 2017, particularly in Culpeper, and remain a serious concern.

      ⸻

If you’d like, I can dig deeper into how Virginia’s missing children system compares to other states, or explore specific alert types like CODI and Amber Alerts further. Let me know how you’d like to proceed!

    10. Where’s the outcry from these kid’s families is what I want to know? Even the biggest scumballs seem to come out of the woodwork when they can get attention

    11. I have about 20 videos every day of people getting trafficked on tiktok or youtube. And those are only the ones that are being filmed. Who knows how many instances of kidnapping is actually happening.

The country has legalized kidnapping and most of the country is ok with pedophilia.

People cant fight back because no one know if they are being taken by actual kidnappers or federal agents, because the agents are not wearing uniforms and dont have to identify themselves.

From the videos I’ve seen, most of the kidnappings are women and children.

The country is led by one of the most successful pedophiles in American history, and he just let Ghislaine Maxwell free.

So, of course, children are going missing, this is just the beginning.

There is a reason why public schools go to great lengths in making sure that every student is in their year book. Think of it as a shopping catalogue and some schools are nation and world renowned for producing “good” students. One thing that school districts won’t tell you is the number of yearbooks and to whom are shipped out of state or overseas every year.

Those ice cream trucks are selling drugs. At least thats how it was in my old neighborhood in NYC. One time I ordered an ice cream from one that came through close to midnight and he looked at me like I had 3 heads 😂😂

    14. SnooDoggos1370 on

The only thing I’ve seen was some article debunking it. Which makes me believe it’s true.

    15. I’m in VA, and this particular issue has very recently been talked about. Seperately, to say there is absolutely no coverage of these missing kids is just untrue- maybe its because I’m a mom so the algorithm is different or something- but I see missing posts multiple times per day across different pages and have for a long time. Amount of effort/resources being put into finding these kids? I can’t say.

According to the media, the reason we have “so many” missing kids is because VA reports every missing kid to NCMEC (which is located in Virginia), and most states don’t do that. Statistically, we are supposedly similar to most states with the number of missing kids.

What I think SHOULD be explored is why so many foster/migrant kids disappear from Culpeper. (This is not recent. it’s been happening for years)

I hope this sudden random interest with our state helps fuel some attention towards that. Whatever is happening there is weird. Foster kids run away, okay. But go look for yourself. it’s very noticeable.

    16. The government departments that investigate child trafficking and the like have been told to stop and round up brown people at Home Depot instead. No one is going after these sickos anymore.

    17. I was just looking into this yesterday and found this article. Police are saying this is a social media rumor. I think I have a healthy distrust of authority as anyone does, but I did look into some of the cases and it looks like only 34 are actually missing as of now – some were runaways and returned, and others were with other guardians. Then again, this article could be that they don’t want mass attention on it.

    18. Holy shit, have you come across the videos of the dudes wearing Spiderman outfits inside those ice cream truck. It’s so wild how no one is talking about it. They usually have those weird screens and antennas too. What the fuck is going on

    19. So, ice cream trucks are driving around at 11pm, blasting music and kidnapping children? Do the children just run out of their houses? The parents don’t notice any of this? And no police have bothered to pull over these music blasting trucks with tinted windows?

    20. Quietwolfkingcrow on

Where are you sourcing this? Friends? Local news? Where in VA and how close to illegal immigrants ice raids is it happening?

    21. greatmoonlight21 on

Not sure if this is related, but I live in Northern Virginia and know some people saying they hear ice cream trucks at night which seems unusual. I’ve also heard it once or twice around 9-10pm.

Edit: ok I read the full post and you mentioned that so we’re on the same page lol
