Does anyone else find Blackstone Group's acquisition of Ancestry.com and all its users private DNA history, i.e. highly sensitive data, to be deeply troubling and unethical, particularly in the context of an openly fascistic US government and it's domestic security and immigration policies, militarised policing of civilians and the President commanding the California National Guard to police protests against federal immigration enforcement raids, unchecked powers being given to police, increasing state violence and police intimidation of American PoC, ICE terrorising migrant communities with abductions, arrests, deportation and imprisonment without trial, arresting and disappearing American dual citizens without charge due to their political beliefs and activism, huge concentration camps becoming the new normal and with more to be constructed.
Oh, and the fact that the USA is currently financing, militarily and diplomatically supporting an ongoing genocide in Gaza, now in its 'final solution' stage.
I'm sure Blackstone Group's intentions with all that data is purely altruistic and they won't try to profit from selling it to Palantir or the US government for potentially nefarious reasons such as adding racial demographic data to their centralised citizen database.
