    1. Nope.

He’s right that those are really bad ideas that sound good purely on the surface. The actual costs both financially and environmentally, are not worth it.

We going back to dependable classic production.

This reminds me of the week before. Trump announced Intel CEO is chineese owned and needs to resign. Intel stock tanked.

Que one week later Trump praises Intel’s Chinese owned CEO and announced the US government will buy Intel stock.

Intel rose 30% on the news.

Is Trump planning the same with Wind and Solar stock?

Absolutely crushing with banning any new Solar or Wind farms in his attempt to protect the oil industry, making oil and gas prices rise.

Will next see Trump announcing megaprojects consisting of vast fields of Windmills and Solar panels?

Pumping all Wind and Solar stocks while crushing oil and gas prices?

Which billionaire friends of Trump own Solar or wind companies that might be a good bet to partake in the nepotism?

    3. No, these things cost more to build and maintain than the value they provide. They’re kept afloat with carbon rebates and ESG funding.

funniest is thing about this is he picked up much of the wind rights of the us/canada back circa 2010ish because there was a gov tax rebate thing going on and he could get tax credits or something like that. how do i know this? because i was 2 degrees of separation from the person collecting the signatures for the wind rights and was informed that the typical process was this guy gets the landowner’s sig on a weekend and it’s on trumps desk on monday. to vet this one would just need to walk back from who got these tax credits, which should be public information, and see who owns them now.

    5. It’s an incredibly stupid and short sighted plan by a man with an IQ in the single digits. Solar is the future. China sees it. We are going to be a thrid world country in 10 years.

    6. I don’t think these companies/projects can exist without government support. My understanding is they are super non efficient from a cost/value perspective and would never make sense in free enterprise. So probably don’t buy

That’s fine since these haven’t been cost effective at all and almost always require a form of subsidy

But, can we please invest in something else? What we are doing is not sustainable and needs to be addressed. It’s like we gave up on innovation
