In case you haven’t heard, as Wi-Fi signals go through your home and bounce off objects, it can create a 3-D image similar to echo location. Using just Wi-Fi signals all your movements can be monitored. Comcast has recently started talking about offering in-home real time Wi-Fi surveillance. If you sign up for this, it allows them to monitor your Wi-Fi signals to use and track all movements, and then they let you know if someone’s in your home when you’re not. A security system without cameras seems less invasive but it’s actually equally if not more invasive. But this commercial is also can be seen as a blatant way to tell us that our Wi-Fi data is the new next frontier in some ways.
