I think it’s based partially on these two findings. I’m not sure if I totally agree with Yglesias but Dems do have an advantage with high propensity voters at this point.

But but but if we just nominated someone to the left of Bernie we’d unlock a huge pool of liberal voters and win in a landslide!!!! The reason we lost to Trump twice is we nominated moderates!!!!
