There’s no point

It's constantly repeated but I think it should be said again…

The more I see MAGA politics materialize in person the more I begin to realize there is absolutely no point in reeling these people back into American civics. Their unhinged beliefs are something they double down behind and it becomes their identity.

There were so many things in this store that baffled me while seeing, and hearing, customers enter the building and admiring the products. Some things being advertised were literally contradicting themselves, especially with the manufacturing of all the clothing. I picked up like several items that were all either made in Pakistan, Vietnam, or China. I honestly thought they would have corrected those mistakes. I thought the first thing I would pick up would be "Made in the USA", but no. It was also baffling to see the misogyny on some of the products and seeing a few women walk up and down the isles. And I don't think they were just curious tourists, as the town my wife and I visited was well-representative of Republican demographics.

It reminded me of the time when I first saw Trump's mugshot-replica portrait hanging in a federal building, which made me realize that same portrait is hanging somewhere in a courthouse. After that I quickly understood the irony and comedy the world we live in.

We can only try to grab those independent voters, because these people are a lost cause.
