New York Times weighs pros, cons of mass deportation effects on housing availability

I feel like I’ve seen this pitched as a “solution” to housing shortages from right-wingers for a while. I can’t always distinguish bad faith from idiocy on the right, so I’m not sure which it is but it’s never been a serious proposal.
