I just want to point out the utter failure of Los Angeles political leaders in this process. The Council passed a resolution opposing SB 79; Mayor Bass made public statements against it. The majority of Los Angeles county’s Assembly and Senate members opposed or abstained.
The housing crisis is extremely real, and our leaders would like to curry favor with current home owners instead of growing our communities. California will lose seats after the next census, that’s true minus any Trump fuckery, and those seats are coming out of Los Angeles.
