  1. >treasury identified 68 occupations that can deduct $25,000 a year in gratuity from taxable income

    >streamers, podcasters, online content creators, and influencers are included

I am calling for an immediate 100% tariff on ring lights and podcast microphones, and anyone using the phrase “press like and subscribe” should immediately be fined.

  2. > Why should a waiter get a tax cut, but not a nursery-school teacher? Why should the owner of a pass-through business pay a top income-tax rate of 29.6 percent, while a nurse anesthetist pays 37 percent? Why should a 65-year-old get a special deduction, but not a 63-year-old? Why not get rid of all the kudzu, ensuring that similar families with similar incomes pay similar tax bills and receive similar tax refunds?

This sums up the article and my feelings neatly. Our tax system is an absolute disgrace from top to bottom. If I make $100,000 from white collar work I should pay the same tax as a blue collar worker making $100,000
