      Unlikely to be meaningful. This is just the result of them genuinely believing leftist terror groups declared war and orchestrated a covert operation to take out the “modern day Martin Luther King Jr”. That’s what “wrong direction” means to Republicans right now.

      I accidentally deleted my comment because I thought I duped it so I’m reposting.

      Given that this poll was conducted between 09-11 and 09-15, with Kirk’s death taking place on 09-10, it’s hard to believe that this pessimism stems from actions taken by the Trump administration so much as political violence.
