Interesting article on/interview of Burnham from the editor-in-chief of The New Statesman, who could well end up replacing Starmer if he's able to get through selection and back into parliament as an MP. The article talks a bit about his ambitions and left-leaning (but still business-friendly?) ideology which has a major tenet of public ownership of some services (water, rail, transport… housing).

I’m a fan of him and he will be more popular than Starmer if he replaced him but what would he change? The same problems will still be there on spending and tax. You will have to chose a path and it will be unpopular (as Starmer has seen)
Changing leaders every few months won’t solve anything (as the tories have seen)
