Speed cameras are an interesting thing. You tell people there is a way to enforce the law equally so that there are no special privileges and, in doing so, save lives. The cherry on top is that you don’t even need to put officers in danger to do it as it works at all hours. Then you tell them it’s a speed camera and they hate it.

Car brain moron continues to be a car brain moron.
> Ford said Thursday he respects both SickKids and police, but speed cameras aren’t working, calling the issue “black-and-white.”
> In Ottawa, speeding compliance in zones with speed cameras increased from 16 per cent to 81 per cent three years after cameras were installed, according to the city’s website.
Yup. Black and white. They work.
> Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca, whose city just ended the use of speed cameras despite an internal study that found cameras reduced the number of speeding vehicles in enforcement areas by 56 per cent daily, said ASE was remarkably unpopular with his constituents.
> A CAA study this summer found 73 per cent of Ontarians support speed cameras in targeted zones.
Well Ford isn’t the only car brained spineless politican. Del Duca is doing the same with equally dubious rationale.
Ontario leadership is just full of weak sad politicans with no vision or commitment to evidence based policy making.

Speed cameras are a cash grab is some fucking moronic galaxy brain take.
>Ford did not say where money for the fund would come from or how much it would cost.
Oh man, if only there was a way to collect revenue, maybe from people deliberately ignoring speed limits, to fund other ways to build infrastructure to reduce speeding cars

More idiotic, overreaching, carbrain policy from the guy who tried to rip bike lanes out of Toronto because they’re visible from his commute
