This would be huge if it happens. The bad blood between Sunnism and Shi’ism has primed Iran to be rivals with Pakistan and many of the Gulf States. I am curious if Pakistan is willing to play ball and transport a nuclear weapon to Iran…Such an act would launch a nuclear-arms race but I imagine that Saudi Arabia would oppose such a thing and likely Pakistan would to when you consider that Iran is on alright terms with India and remains neutral on Kashmir. They also saddle up with Armenia despite Azerbaijan being a Shia Majority Country so theological enticement plays a smaller role in Iranian politics than one would imagine from Khamaneis’ rants.
