I think the west is broadly naive about the sheer danger of Islamism. It goes without saying that **muslims are not the problem**, but I don’t think this problem will get resolved as long as people continue to get branded as racist for any amount of criticism of Islam, no matter how fair. Islamists will not hesitate to cry persecution at criticism as a motte-and-bailey.
