Obviously there are plenty of outlets the federal government uses to promote propaganda to Americans. In this day and age, that targeting has become a lot more focused on personal habits of Americans and what they’re looking at on their phones and computers, building essentially a digital profile of each Americans. It started with targeted ads for commercial products but in these later years, it’s now being used to push political propaganda. You look up something on your phone about planes and now you’re getting post notifications for Area 51? The way it works is very strange and also very deliberate.
People think the earth is flat, so they get pushed videos about the earth being flat further reinforcing their belief in it. They’re not pushed videos that explain anything counter to it. Same thing happens with political talking points. You want to look up more Charlie Kirk videos and how they all point back to the narrative. They won’t push the alternative evidence of what happened. This is the problem, the algorithms are designed to take normal people back to the narrative and to never question it.

This is stupid as fuck. Imagine if they came out and made a bill
This absolutely needs to happen
That’s never gonna happen.
It isn’t just the government pushing propaganda, but this would be a good start. What really needs to be outlawed is “the algorithm” and the feedback loop it creates. Privacy laws and the end of tracking everything we do would be a great start but we all know that will never happen.
That’s never going to happen, it’s laughable. Also, I assume that wouldn’t include the CIA, the most notorious offenders
As long as I get to define propaganda.

How about protecting us from ALL propaganda? Instead of just outsourcing it to Israel and Russia.
