* TransLink’s CEO Kevin Quinn attributes the system’s success to factors such as service frequency, density around transit stations, and land-use planning that promotes dense development, as well as population growth in areas such as Surrey.

Tbh I don’t think it’s a good time for football-spiking. I think TransLink has done good work for the most part, but there’s still a revenue shortfall and stagnant growth that will need to be addressed somehow. Gas tax revenue in particular is gonna need to be replaced or supplemented somehow.
We also have the usual Anglosphere capital cost blowout problem to deal with. Vancouver’s transit system really does punch above its weight though
