Submission statement: The Government shutdown is forecasted to last more than 35 days, breaking the record set by the 2018-2019 shutdown. So many people will be impacted all because Schumer and Jeffries are unwilling to negotiate.
And the current record for the longest government shutdown in American history? The last time Donald Trump was president.
Only this time around, Republicans have every branch of the government, the Supreme Court and the White House. They could end the shutdown in a heartbeat.
Anyone claiming that this is the Democrat’s fault or “Chuck Schumer’s shutdown™” is either ignorant or lying.
