      I want to run a DnD campaign (Storm King’s Thunder) but I’m having many, many issues.

      1. The setting I have for the one I want is one I hate (Faerûn). It’s too “Kitchen Sink” and not Scandinavian enough. My solution is to take Magic: The Gathering’s Kaldheim gods and just stuff them in this setting along with some minor aesthetic changes.

      2. The adventure features a cult, the greatest villain faction known in the history of fiction, but the cult sucks. It’s a glorified Thieves’ Guild and only in alliance with the main villain, not a faction related to the main villain herself.

      3. The adventure is DnD5e. I have a playgroup that would be open to a Pathfinder 2e campaign, but they wouldn’t take it seriously enough and the campaign is too long for what one of the players wants. The other group has a campaign that won’t end soon enough.

      4. I have a shorter campaign idea but that is quadruple the amount of prep work for me to prepare and nobody wants that.

      5. The villain is *almost* perfect but any changes to motivation or actions requires an amount of rewrites I don’t want to make. Essentially, the villain is a dragon who wants to disrupt Giant society in her quest to become a God. Which is fine and dandy, but dragons aren’t *too* much of a thing in Scandinavian mythology and I’m afraid my alterations would muddle her motivation (she sets up a network of scrying wizards and magical trinkets to spy on the land as she hoards weath).

      How the fuck is this a “both sides” issue here? Why are they handing this narrative to Republicans?

      Republicans have CONSISTENTLY overly gerrymandered so many more seats than Democrats. Democrats will gerrymander like a seat in Oregon and two seats in Illinois, but Republicans can consistently gerrymander entire states like South Carolina and get away with it for decades. This is not a “both sides” moment, NYT.

      NYTimes; for my blood pressure i have told myself to stop getting upset at the phrasing of these stories……but come on mane lol. Wtf is this ?

      I believe the streets call this blaming the victim. What were the institutions wearing? Maybe if they hung a 50 foot trump banner outside their building they wouldn’t have gotten doge’d or unitary executive praxis’d
