So Putin probably convinced Trump to at least postpone Tomohawk deliveries to Ukraine until after the summit? Did Putin manage to kick the can down the road and play Trump again?

Maybe I’m finally becoming hopped up on hopium but I don’t think this will deviate Trump from the current trajectory of his support for Ukraine.
In his mind Putin asking for another meeting is proof that helping the Ukrainians bomb Russia is working. I would be surprised if Trump suddenly goes hands off thinking “okay that’s enough pressure pack everything up!”
Of course we won’t know until tomorrow of what if any new aid is announced for Ukraine.
There’s also the question of what Putin can offer to Trump that makes Trump feel like switching sides again. All reporting indicates Trump is furious that the Alaska summit was universally lambasted, and that’s when he decided to go all in on supporting Ukrainian strikes on Russian infrastructure. Putin cannot afford another Alaska summit outcome, but at the same time his goal is diametrically opposed with Trump’s goal.

How exactly is Putin going to get to Hungary? Considering, he would have to either fly over Poland, Romania or Ukraine.
