  1. The RSF, a side in Sudan’s civil war, has captured El Fasher after a seige that lasted over a year. It descends from groups (Janjaweed) who committed the Darfur genocide, and it remains an especially brutal forceeven by regional standards. The RSF is funded by the UAE, Chad, and Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar. Note how this footage comes from the RSF fighters themselves.
