How much money is generated each year in the spirit of “cancer curing research”?.

How many different freaking cancer research “foundations” are there? There’s at least one for every time of cancer a person can be diagnosed with, the portals to donate to the ____ Research and Cure Foundation are in emails and on websites everywhere, people who lose loved ones to those cancers are free advertisements for life just walking around telling their story and drumming up sympathy to get donation after donation for “cure research”….

You see anyone winning a Nobel prize for actually FINDING a cure? If I’ve overlooked something, I’ll humbly admit my mistake but I don’t recall any announcements for incredible breakthroughs in cancer curing.

Someone(s) is sitting awfully pretty watching donations ROLL in as bald headed, barely alive people fighting for hope go from city to city to march down streets with matching t-shirts and signs literally CAMPAIGN for their organizations. I’ve lost two family members in recent years to sudden, out-of-the-blue-SORRY-NUTTIN-WE-CAN-DO stage 4 cancers in completely healthy men (that were also, coincidentally, some of the most religiously faithful men I knew), and it was just remarkable how much effort these foundations went through to send us stickers and pens and wristbands and hats, all the shit that gross political wannabes think will make the difference for them, so that we would get out there and post on social media “oh, this was so awful, hashtag cancer sucks, if you love me and my family please donate HERE”.

I wonder if Charlie Kirk was the catalyst for others as he was for me. Everything is so fucked up, and has been for a long time. I’m just much more privy to it now. And it certainly seems to be picking up steam…

    1. Cancer is the natural result of entropy in the human body. A 75% increase in cancer deaths, barring an increase in carcinogen exposure, is essentially saying people are dying of old age more often

    2. Maybe the research is how to give more people cancer. After all we are exposed to more and more things that cause us cancer. Everything around us and what we consume. There’s also so much money to be made in chemotherapy.

    3. There have been so many advancements in cancer research and cancer survival time but this is a low effort meme that is totally off on what is even spent so it is pointless to try and argue.

PD1/PDL-1 checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy for early stage cancers that can completely cure them without surgery, car-t cell therapy, targeted treatments tailored to the particular cancer based on gene sequencing, significant increase in survival time for many different cancers, vastly improved outcomes for breast cancer and childhood leukemia.

    4. Sounds like to me they’re just collecting money and that’s it if we’re getting increases

What they don’t tell you: The western lifestyle itself is poisonous. Capitalism and pharmaceuticals are merely monetizing death

Can’t we just focus on how modern we are and let us just hope the whole cancer thing sorts itself out somehow some day? Doesn’t cancer research have a GoFundMe? Has anyone just tried asking the cancer cells if they’ll accept apoptosis as their lord and savior? Perhaps more prayer in schools? That includes schools of fish. Just figure it out, okay?
