I’m generally against stripping people’s right to vote wholesale.

I am willing to make an exception though for people who advocate (earnestly) stripping the voting rights of others. If your political beliefs are so bad that you won’t even attempt to convince others to support your ideals, then you’re not worth taking seriously.
