      I think succs are coping when they assert the existence of a huge dormant bloc of would-be Democratic voters in purple and red states who are only waiting for the party to run Bernie Sanders. That said, one issue American voters do seem far to the left of their politicians on is price controls. Any discussion of the price of goods I’m exposed to whether on the Internet or in real life consistently leaves me with the impression that the median voter if given the chance to would turn every industry into pre-deregulation air travel.
