He went to their fund raisers, hosted their golf tournaments and was lauded as a great person by many of them including the Clintons. There are videos of him on the View where they all talk about loving Trump.
This is nothing new and is common information. The reason he became a Republican is that he said that the Democrats have strayed away from what they were before and moved beyond any tolerable level that he liked. He also stated “That if I ran for president it would be on the Republican ticket because the left has moved so far left”.
