Raise them anyway, coward.
Income up, NI down, do it. Do something beyond the bare minimum book-balancing.
Labour will go into the 2029 General Election saying to voters “look everything is still shit but immigration is down 75% and we didn’t raise income tax” and they’ll get 12 votes.
Sigh – just do what is needed. Labour when they are bold can be great but this is just embarrassing
